About me
Soul Food Cypher is a non-profit organization that uses freestyle rap and lyricism to transform individuals and communities. SFC promotes the positive aspects of rap and Hip-Hop through their CYPHER events, performances, and educational outreach. Their mission is to provide rappers with a safe and nurturing environment where their voice and artistry can flourish while solidifying the art of freestyle as a genuine aesthetic for the broader artistic community. Since it’s inception in 2012 - SFC has had significant press and highlights. Last year Soul Food Cypher was featured on CNN's Champions for Change during the celebration of 50 years of Hip Hop. They also recently performed as the headline act during the Hands On Atlanta 10th annual MLK Sunday Supper and also performed during Atlanta’s Mayor Andre Dickens’ Employee State of the City Address at City Hall. In the spring of this year, SFC took their reach and work international when they traveled to Marseille, France to perform during the Hip Hop Society Festival on invitation of the French Consulate. Soul Food Cypher is more than entertainment - SFC is a family that promotes respect, responsibility and knowledge. With a focus on it’s lasting legacy, Soul Food Cypher aims to change the Rap on Rap and pass this rich tradition to the next generation
